Infected Insect Bite Treatment

Most insect bites are harmless and settle within a few days, but sometimes a bite becomes infected — getting more red, swollen, hot or painful, sometimes with pus or spreading redness. Through the NHS Pharmacy First service, a pharmacist at Healthcheck Pharmacy in Bradford can assess an infected insect bite in anyone aged 1 and over and supply treatment where clinically appropriate — free, with no GP appointment.
